About Cyndi Craven Design

I started Cyndi Craven Design (formerly Mantis Web Designs) in 1996. Since then, I’ve helped businesses, professionals, and individuals in the Atlanta area and throughout the United States successfully ride the wave of the Web with beautifully designed websites, effective search engine optimization, content development, email marketing, ecommerce, audio and video, maintenance, and more.
I can help you as well with a custom designed WordPress CMS website, or a custom static HTML site if you prefer. To optimize your online presence, I can also integrate your site aesthetically and functionally with your blog, your LinkedIn, Google+ and Twitter profiles, Facebook pages, YouTube channel, etc..
Most sites I create these days utilize the WordPress content management system. WordPress sites look the same on screen as a ‘regular’ HTML website, but there are some important differences meaningful to today’s savvy website owner:
- WordPress sites are typically less expensive than custom HTML sites, in part because they are based on pre-designed, pre-tested templates called ‘themes.’ These themes are extremely flexible but take far less time to customize than building a site from the ground up.
- WordPress sites can easily be managed in-house via a simple to use, web-based interface called the Dashboard. You or an assistant can update and maintain your site in-house with the ease of using a typical word processing program. There are no programs to buy or steep learning curves to tackle to become master of your own site. And, virtually any web designer can update your site for you if you prefer to delegate site management to a pro.
- WordPress is continually updated on the backend… so that the technology your site runs on will not become outdated and obsolete.
